Stadium History
Fenway Park opened on April 20, 1912. The Green Monster was built in 1934 and stands 37 feet high. The hand-operated scoreboard inside the Monster is still in use today. Fenway has hosted 11 World Series and countless historic moments. Despite its age, the park has been continuously updated while maintaining its historic charm. The 'Curse of the Bambino' was broken here in 2004.
